There are many ways a vagabond can get around and travel. Backpacking and hitching rides are the most cost efficient and more traditional way of roaming about. In today’s modern world, for the modern vagabonds, there are options like wagons, carriages, automobiles, motorcycles, and even recreational vehicles. The ladder of these methods allows the wanderer to be able to carry more of their personal items without straining their backs, and getting to their destination in a quicker, more efficient, and safer way.
"A vagabond is an itinerant person. Such people may be called drifters, tramps, rogues, gypsies, or hobos. A vagabond is characterized by almost continuous traveling, lacking a fixed home, temporary abode, or permanent residence. Vagabonds are not bums, as bums are not known for traveling, preferring to stay in one location." This definition can be found on Wikipedia or similar in dictionaries.
